Overview
ST12 is a legacy cold-rolled base-grade reference that still appears in distributor and fabrication inquiries. A galvanized order needs more information than the base name alone: the buyer and supplier must agree the coated-product standard, accepted grade mapping, zinc coating designation, surface treatment, and dimensional tolerances. State the forming operation and end use so the material route can be checked rather than assuming ST12 is interchangeable with every commercial galvanized grade. Include thickness, width, coil ID, maximum coil weight, quantity, destination port, and packing orientation. If long-term outdoor exposure is involved, describe the environment and downstream paint or panel system. Final MTC wording, inspection scope, and commercial terms follow the approved RFQ and purchase order.
Product scope
- Legacy base-grade reference is converted into an explicit coated-steel order
- No cross-standard substitution is assumed without buyer approval
