A full-width mother coil remains a separate delivery choice.

Agree mother-coil grade and coating, thickness, slit width and tolerance, edge condition, burr, camber, coil ID/OD, weight and edge protection in the PO or slitting inspection plan. Purlin, cable-tray and ERW applications require downstream forming/welding review; a full-width mother coil must not be represented as finished strip. No burr, camber or weldability result is implied without an order-specific criterion.

Mother coil is the full-width GI or GL input. Strip is produced after slitting into agreed mults, with its own width, tolerance, edge and coil limits. State the delivery form on the RFQ.
Specify mill or slit edge, acceptable burr and camber basis, edge protection, and the downstream forming or welding route. These controls depend on the line and application.
It can be reviewed for those uses when mother-coil grade, coating, slit tolerance, burr/camber and weld or forming requirements are accepted by the downstream team.
Confirm line payoff, crane/handling and container limits first, then state individual coil weight, ID/OD and packing orientation in the order.
